1. Introduction and Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Mi-Era LLC ("Mi-Era," "we," "us," or "our") collects, processes, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit the Mi-Era website or landing pages, use the Mi-Era application, receive communications from us, or otherwise interact with our related services (collectively, the "Service").
Mi-Era is a U.S.-based educational and self-development platform designed to help teenagers develop stronger study habits, focus, organization, self-regulation, cognitive stamina, and independence through structured activities, planning tools, progress features, reflection, and AI-supported educational assistance.
This Privacy Policy applies to teen users, parents and legal guardians, website visitors, prospective users, and other individuals who interact with the Service.
By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility and Teen Users
Mi-Era is intended for users age 13 and older.
Children under 13 may not create or maintain a Mi-Era account. Mi-Era does not knowingly permit children under 13 to use the Service or knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13.
Users who are 13 through 17 must use Mi-Era in accordance with our Terms of Use and applicable parental or guardian permission or consent requirements.
Where applicable law requires parental or guardian consent for a particular collection, use, disclosure, or other processing of a minor's personal information, Mi-Era will take reasonable steps to obtain the consent required by law.
If Mi-Era learns that a child under 13 has created an account or provided personal information without legally sufficient authorization, Mi-Era will take reasonable steps to delete the account and associated information.
A parent or guardian who believes a child under 13 has provided personal information to Mi-Era should contact:
Mi-Era is designed to provide teen users with an age-appropriate level of privacy and independence. A user's status as a minor does not automatically provide a parent or guardian with unrestricted access to everything the teen does within Mi-Era.
Parent and guardian rights and access are described further below.
3. Information We Collect and Process
Mi-Era processes different types of information depending on how an individual uses the Service.
Account and Contact Information
We may collect information used to establish or identify an account, including:
Teen user's name.
Teen user's age.
Teen user's email address.
Parent or legal guardian's name.
Parent or legal guardian's email address.
Information provided through contact forms, waitlists, surveys, support requests, or communications with Mi-Era.
Mi-Era personnel may be able to locate or view limited account information, such as a user's email address, when necessary to identify an account or respond to a request.
Private In-App Content
The Service may process information entered or generated by users while using Mi-Era, including:
Assignments.
Tests and quizzes.
Projects.
Tasks and goals.
Study plans.
Focus-session information.
Check-ins.
Reflections.
Study-related responses.
Messages and prompts submitted to AI-supported features.
AI-generated responses.
Other educational information entered into the app.
Mi-Era personnel do not access, read, review, or monitor the content of individual users' private in-app data.
Mi-Era's technology and service providers may process this information automatically as necessary to provide the functionality requested by the user.
Progress and Usage Information
Mi-Era's systems may process information associated with use of the Service, including:
Session completion.
Focus activity.
Consistency.
Streaks.
Achievements.
Timing.
Feature engagement.
Other activity necessary to provide progress-related features.
Subscription and Transaction Information
If a user purchases a subscription, RevenueCat and the applicable app store or payment provider may process purchase and subscription information.
Mi-Era may receive or process information such as:
Subscription status.
Product or plan purchased.
Transaction identifiers.
Renewal status.
Purchase history.
Account entitlement information.
Mi-Era does not receive or store full payment-card numbers from purchases processed through an app store or third-party payment provider.
Information Collected Automatically
When someone uses the Mi-Era website or application, Mi-Era and its service providers may automatically process certain technical and usage information, which may include:
IP address.
Device type.
Browser type.
Operating system.
App version.
Device or service identifiers.
Referring pages.
Pages or features viewed.
Interactions with the Service.
Timestamps.
Crash and performance information.
General location inferred from an IP address.
Mi-Era uses Google Analytics to help understand the use and performance of the website and Service.
Mi-Era does not intentionally collect precise geolocation information unless a feature requiring such information is introduced, appropriately disclosed, and permitted under applicable law.
4. How We Use Information
Mi-Era and its systems may use or automatically process personal information to:
Create and maintain user accounts.
Authenticate users.
Provide Mi-Era's features.
Generate study plans.
Provide AI-supported educational assistance.
Help users organize assignments, tests, quizzes, projects, and other schoolwork.
Operate focus and productivity features.
Provide progress and achievement features.
Personalize functionality based on information supplied by the user.
Process subscriptions and account entitlements.
Send account, service, security, or product communications.
Provide customer support.
Maintain and protect the Service.
Diagnose technical problems.
Detect or prevent fraud, misuse, or security threats.
Analyze technical and aggregated usage information.
Improve Mi-Era's functionality and user experience.
Comply with applicable legal obligations.
Enforce our Terms of Use and other agreements.
Mi-Era personnel do not use individual users' private AI conversations, reflections, assignments, study responses, or other private in-app content for routine manual review.
Where reasonably practical, Mi-Era uses aggregated, de-identified, or technical information for analytics and product improvement.
5. AI-Supported Features and Conversation Data
Mi-Era uses artificial intelligence technology, including Anthropic's Claude technology, to provide AI-supported educational assistance, study planning, coaching, and related features.
When a user interacts with an AI-supported feature, the information needed to provide that feature may be transmitted automatically to Anthropic or another disclosed AI service provider.
That information may include:
A user's prompt or message.
Assignment information.
Test or quiz information.
Project information.
Study-related information.
Tasks.
Reflections.
Relevant context needed to respond to the user's request.
This processing occurs automatically through the technology used to operate the Service.
Mi-Era personnel do not access, read, review, or monitor individual users' AI conversations.
Mi-Era's AI features are intended to assist with studying, planning, organization, focus, educational self-management, and related educational activities.
AI-generated information may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. AI-generated responses should not be treated as medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other professional advice.
Anthropic states that inputs and outputs submitted through its commercial API are not used to train Anthropic's general-purpose models by default unless the customer affirmatively opts into such use or data is submitted through certain feedback or safety processes.
Mi-Era does not authorize Anthropic to use teen conversations to train Anthropic's general-purpose models except where such use has been clearly disclosed, lawfully enabled, and any legally required consent has been obtained.
Information processed by Anthropic or another service provider is also subject to that provider's applicable commercial terms and data-handling practices.
Deleted AI Conversations
Users may delete AI conversations from their Mi-Era conversation history.
When a user deletes an AI conversation, that conversation is removed from the user's active conversation history.
Deleted conversations are not recovered by Mi-Era for continued use by the LLM and are not intentionally restored, regenerated, or repopulated into the user's future AI conversation history.
Information that has been deleted may be subject to limited residual retention by infrastructure providers, backups, technical logs, or other systems where technically necessary or legally required. Mi-Era does not use such residual information to repopulate a deleted conversation into the user's active AI experience.
6. Sensitive Information
Mi-Era is designed as an educational and study-support service and does not require users to provide highly sensitive personal information that is unrelated to those purposes.
Users should not enter information such as the following into Mi-Era's AI conversations or other features:
Social Security numbers.
Financial account numbers.
Credit or debit card numbers.
Passwords.
Government identification numbers.
Medical records.
Other highly sensitive information unnecessary for educational use.
Private information about another person that the user does not have permission to share.
Where applicable law provides enhanced protections for sensitive information or personal information concerning minors, Mi-Era will process that information in accordance with applicable requirements.
7. Teen Privacy and Parent or Guardian Access
Mi-Era is designed to provide teen users with an age-appropriate level of privacy, independence, and control over their educational experience.
Parents and legal guardians do not automatically receive access to a teen user's complete Mi-Era account or detailed private in-app activity merely because the user is under 18.
Mi-Era does not ordinarily provide parents or guardians with automatic or ongoing access to:
The full text of AI conversations.
AI chat history.
Reflections.
Check-in responses.
Detailed assignment information entered by the teen.
Detailed test, quiz, or project information entered by the teen.
Study-plan responses.
Other private educational content entered into Mi-Era.
Mi-Era personnel themselves do not access, read, review, or monitor this private in-app content.
Limited Parent or Guardian Information
Mi-Era may provide a parent or guardian with limited account-related or high-level information where the Service includes such a feature.
Depending on the functionality available, parent-facing information may include information such as:
Account-related information.
Subscription-related information.
High-level engagement information.
General progress or consistency information.
Focus activity.
Privacy or account controls.
Mi-Era does not provide a parent or guardian with the teen's password or unrestricted access to the teen's account as a standard feature.
Parent or Guardian Privacy Rights
Privacy laws vary by state.
In some jurisdictions, a parent or legal guardian may have the legal right to exercise certain privacy rights on behalf of a minor.
Where applicable law provides such a right, a parent or legal guardian may submit a request concerning personal information associated with the minor.
Depending on applicable law, such rights may include requesting:
Access to certain personal information.
A copy of certain personal information.
Correction of inaccurate personal information.
Deletion of certain personal information.
Management of certain privacy choices.
Withdrawal or provision of certain consent.
Other rights provided under applicable privacy law.
Mi-Era may require reasonable verification of:
The identity of the person making the request.
The identity of the teen associated with the account.
The requester's relationship to or legal authority regarding the teen.
Other information reasonably necessary to verify that the request is valid.
Mi-Era will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law.
Privacy requests apply to personal information Mi-Era maintains and can reasonably retrieve or process at the time the request is handled.
A statutory right to request access to certain personal information does not necessarily provide a parent or guardian with an automatic, ongoing right to log into the teen's account, obtain the teen's password, monitor future activity, or continuously view every communication within Mi-Era.
Mi-Era will not represent private user content as available if that content has already been deleted and is no longer reasonably retrievable.
Teen users may also have privacy rights of their own under applicable state law.
Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to restrict rights provided to a teen, parent, or legal guardian under applicable law.
8. Parent or Guardian Communications
Mi-Era may communicate with a parent or legal guardian using the parent or guardian email address associated with an account.
Such communications may include:
Account-related information.
Service notices.
Subscription-related communications.
Privacy notices.
Safety or security notices.
Parent-facing features offered by Mi-Era.
High-level information concerning the teen's use of the Service, where such a feature is provided.
Mi-Era does not use routine parent communications to provide the full text of a teen's private AI conversations, reflections, or other private in-app content.
The scope of parent-facing features may change as Mi-Era develops.
If a change materially affects the privacy of teen users, Mi-Era will update this Privacy Policy and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by applicable law.
9. How We Disclose Information
Mi-Era does not sell or rent personal information.
Personal information may be processed or disclosed in the following circumstances.
Service Providers
Mi-Era uses third-party providers to help operate the Service.
These currently include:
GitHub, for source code hosting, version control, software development, and technical collaboration.
CloudMagic, for cloud-based technical infrastructure and services used to support development and operation of the Mi-Era Service.
Supabase, for database, authentication, and backend infrastructure.
Anthropic, for Claude AI processing.
RevenueCat, for subscription and entitlement management.
Google Analytics, for analytics and measurement.
These providers may process information as necessary to perform services on Mi-Era's behalf.
App Stores and Payment Providers
Apple, Google, or another applicable app store or payment provider may process information associated with purchases and subscriptions.
Legal Requirements
Mi-Era may disclose or process information where required by:
Applicable law.
A valid subpoena.
A court order.
Valid legal process.
An enforceable governmental or regulatory request.
Mi-Era will disclose only information that it is legally required or permitted to disclose.
Protection and Security
Information may be processed or disclosed where reasonably necessary and legally permitted to:
Protect Mi-Era's rights or property.
Protect the security of the Service.
Investigate fraud or misuse.
Respond to security incidents.
Protect the rights or safety of users or others.
Business Transactions
Information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable legal requirements.
With Consent or Direction
Information may be disclosed when a user or, where legally applicable, a parent or legal guardian directs Mi-Era to make the disclosure or provides legally sufficient consent.
10. Advertising, Sale, and Sharing of Teen Personal Information
Mi-Era does not sell teen users' personal information.
Mi-Era does not use teen users' personal information for targeted advertising.
Mi-Era does not provide teen personal information to third parties so those third parties can use it for their own targeted advertising.
Where applicable law imposes additional restrictions concerning:
Sale of minors' personal information.
Sharing of minors' personal information.
Targeted advertising.
Profiling.
Personalized recommendations.
Secondary use of minors' information.
Mi-Era will process the information in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
11. Data Minimization
Mi-Era seeks to limit its collection and processing of personal information to information reasonably necessary to provide and operate the Service.
Mi-Era does not intentionally collect private information about teen users for unrelated purposes.
Information entered into Mi-Era's educational features is processed for the purpose of providing the feature or experience requested by the user.
Mi-Era does not use private teen content for unrelated targeted advertising or sale.
Where state law requires additional data-minimization protections for minors, Mi-Era will apply those requirements to covered users.
12. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies
Mi-Era's website or Service may use cookies, software development kits, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies for purposes such as:
Operating the Service.
Maintaining authentication.
Remembering preferences.
Providing security.
Diagnosing technical issues.
Measuring performance.
Understanding how features are used.
Improving the Service.
Google Analytics may automatically process information such as device, browser, interaction, and approximate location information.
Browser, operating-system, or device settings may allow users to restrict some cookies, tracking technologies, or device identifiers.
Some features may not operate properly when certain technologies are disabled.
Where applicable law requires consent before non-essential analytics or similar technologies are used, Mi-Era will obtain the required consent.
Mi-Era will apply additional protections to analytics and tracking involving minors where required by applicable law.
13. Data Retention and Deletion
Mi-Era retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for purposes such as:
Providing the Service.
Maintaining accounts.
Providing requested functionality.
Protecting the Service.
Meeting legal obligations.
Maintaining necessary business or accounting records.
Preventing fraud or misuse.
Resolving disputes.
Enforcing agreements.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the systems involved.
Private In-App Content
Mi-Era personnel do not access or review individual users' private AI conversations, reflections, assignments, study responses, or other private educational content as part of Mi-Era's operations.
Deleted Conversations
When a user deletes an AI conversation, it is removed from the user's active conversation history.
Mi-Era does not recover the deleted conversation for continued use by the LLM and does not use it to repopulate future AI conversations.
Some deleted information may remain temporarily within backups, logs, disaster-recovery systems, or service-provider infrastructure where technically necessary or legally required.
Residual copies are not intentionally used by Mi-Era to restore the deleted conversation to the user's active Mi-Era experience.
When other personal information is no longer reasonably necessary, Mi-Era may delete or de-identify it.
14. Security
Mi-Era uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized:
Access.
Use.
Alteration.
Loss.
Destruction.
Disclosure.
Mi-Era also limits the information its personnel can access.
At present, Mi-Era personnel can locate limited account information such as a user's email address but do not have routine access to users' private AI conversations, reflections, assignments, study responses, or other private in-app educational content.
No online platform, database, service provider, or method of electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Mi-Era therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.
Users should protect their account credentials and should not share passwords with others.
15. Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal information.
These rights may include the right to:
Request access to personal information.
Obtain a copy of certain personal information.
Correct inaccurate information.
Request deletion of personal information.
Withdraw certain consent.
Opt out of certain processing.
Appeal a decision concerning a privacy request.
Exercise other rights provided by applicable law.
Teen users may be entitled to exercise certain privacy rights themselves.
Where applicable law permits a parent or legal guardian to exercise privacy rights on behalf of a minor, the parent or guardian may submit an appropriate verified request.
A privacy right does not automatically create unrestricted or continuous parent access to a teen's Mi-Era account or future communications.

Mi-Era may request information reasonably necessary to verify the identity or authority of the person making the request.
Mi-Era will respond to verified privacy requests within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Mi-Era will not unlawfully discriminate against an individual for exercising applicable privacy rights.
Email Choices
Users and parents or guardians may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe mechanism in the applicable message.
Even after opting out of promotional communications, Mi-Era may continue to send non-promotional messages concerning:
An account.
A subscription.
Security.
Privacy.
Legal notices.
Important Service changes.
16. Children Under 13
Mi-Era is not intended for children under 13.
Children under 13 may not create or maintain a Mi-Era account.
Mi-Era does not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13.
If Mi-Era learns that a child under 13 has provided personal information without legally sufficient authorization, Mi-Era will take appropriate steps to delete the information and, where appropriate, terminate the account.
If you believe that a child under 13 has provided information to Mi-Era, contact:
Mi-Era may use reasonable age-screening or age-assurance measures where appropriate or required by applicable law.
Information collected solely for age assurance will be handled in accordance with applicable privacy requirements.
17. State-Specific Protections for Minors
Privacy protections for children and teenagers differ among U.S. states and may change over time.
Mi-Era will apply additional protections to minors' personal information where required by applicable state law.
Depending on the jurisdiction, those protections may relate to:
Parental or guardian privacy rights.
Teen privacy rights.
Consent.
Data minimization.
Default privacy settings.
Targeted advertising.

Mi-Era is based in the United States and is intended primarily for users in the United States.
If the Service is accessed from outside the United States, information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in the United States or another jurisdiction where Mi-Era's service providers operate.
Privacy and data-protection laws in those jurisdictions may differ from the laws where the user resides.
19. Third-Party Services and Links
Mi-Era may contain links to websites, app stores, platforms, or services operated by third parties.
Mi-Era does not control the independent privacy practices of those third parties.
Information provided directly to a third party is governed by that third party's privacy policy, terms, and practices.
Teen users and parents or guardians are encouraged to review the privacy information provided by third-party services before providing personal information to them.
20. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Mi-Era may update this Privacy Policy as:
The Service changes.
Technology changes.
Mi-Era's business practices change.
Service providers change.
Privacy laws and regulations change.
When this Privacy Policy is updated, Mi-Era will revise the Last Updated date shown at the top.
If a change materially affects how Mi-Era collects, uses, processes, or discloses personal information, Mi-Era will provide additional notice where required by applicable law.
